Name: Jason Jones
Race: Ursine, Glacier Bear
Age: 30
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 225 lbs
Career: "Logistics and AV Coordinator"
Affiliation: Press Union
Appearance: Short and rotund, the ursine would appear cuddly if it weren't for the constant expression of annoyance on his face. His black headfur is tucked beneath a black patrol cap turned backward. An olive drab tee with the word PRESS screenprinted in black across the chest strains across his bulk, covered mostly by a black photo gear vest with the same screenprinting on the back in white. His khaki cargo-shorts are barely held up by a toolbelt with various pouches hooked onto it, its contents making them drag heavily at his waistband. He wears black sneakers on his footpaws, just a little past the broken in point. Around one massive wrist is a square-faced wristwatch with a thick black band.

Background Information: Jason grew up his entire life fascinated by photography and film. His parents fostered this fascination, encouraging him to learn about how movies and documentaries were made. Throughout school, he wasn't far from some kind of camera, and tended to sheild himself from the social havoc of school by using a camera as a wall. Eventually, he sent one of his mini documentaries of school life to a film studio, who brought him in for an internship between his senior and sophomore year. After graduating, he went on to a film school, majoring in photojournalism with a minor in electronics. Still, he wasn't satisfied with just knowing how to use a camera; he wanted to know how to use everything involved with camerawork, both television and film. With the added encouragement of his parents - and taking out several sizable loans - he went on to get a Masters in photojournalism and turned his minor from his bachelor's degree into a bachelor itself. He applied to the Galactic Press Union as soon as he graduated for the second time, going to several different moons and worlds as the camera crew through several Konig Directorate engagements with Theta. During his first few years with the Press Union, he noticed how much nethackers and the government alike enjoyed interrupting the feeds, hacking the network to put out their own message or simply to cause havoc. Resolving to fix this issue, he re-entered school, double majoring in Cybertech and Computer Science to counter any interruption to the feeds. Due to his convictions, the Press Union flagged him as a general nuisance and anti-establishment troublemaker. Instead of canning him, however, they stuck him with the job they knew he would hate: the cushiest cameraman job on Kaikura, shooting film of parades and festivals. When the disaster hit, he was in the 12th Precinct Elementary School, taking stock footage for the local press union station's story that night.
